Tony Sisti Memorial Fund

On May 24, 2021, my dad Tony Sisti passed away due to COVID-19 complications. Despite overcoming so many challenges in his life, we were unable to keep him here with us. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, brother, son and mentor. We will all remember him for his unwavering kindness, oddball humor and genuine warmth.
This was an uphill battle that he simply couldn't overcome. The damage to his lungs was catastrophic. Within a week of the positive COVID test, he was hospitalized with dangerously low blood oxygen levels. After being put on oxygen for some time, our worst fears were realized when he had to be put in a medically induced coma and ventilated. Despite everyone's love, optimism and best wishes, things took a turn for the worst. Every day presented a new challenge; failing blood oxygen levels, increased fluids, a fungal infection and ultimately a collapsed lung requiring 2 chest tubes all took their toll. He is now in God's embrace reaping the rewards of his truly benevolent existence here on Earth.
He was an inspiration to so many people. His contribution and dedication to recovery from the disease of addiction left a lasting legacy. He lived and loved fully, every day. When this man with long white hair came into my life when I was 7, I didn't know what to make of him -- but I quickly saw how he treated my mom like gold and our mutual love and understanding of each other grew with every passing day. Saying goodbye to him has been the hardest thing to do.
Due to the unforeseen nature of this terrible virus, he left this world without a living will or life insurance. Since he was the breadwinner, my mother Robbin Sisti is now saddled with cremation & service costs, a mortgage, debt, and other financial difficulties all in addition to the crippling emotional despair of her beloved husband & soul mate leaving this world far too prematurely.
We've been so touched by everyone's response to this tragedy. It has truly reminded us that his life was not in vain, and he made the most of every minute he was alive. My mother was reluctant to the idea of starting this fund but I knew he touched the lives of so many people who would be happy to help in any way. We only ask that you donate what you can afford. Every bit helps.
10/14/1951 - 05/24/2021. We love you.
