Tony Roper Memorial Scholarship Fund

Tax deductible

On October 14, 2000, Tony Roper died following an accident while competing in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Fort Worth, Texas. A graduate of Fair Grove High School, Roper was the son of legendary ARCA competitor Dean Roper. Each raced for years around their hometown of Fair Grove, Missouri - particularly the I-70 Speedway.

Following Tony Roper's death, fans founded a scholarship fund to benefit the Fair Grove High School. While the fund has since closed, the memory of Tony continues. In November 2019, his story became part of the YouTube documentary "Three Before February," and in February 2021 by Rick Houston's podcast series "Firestorm." Funds raised from a charity auction after "February's" release are the first donation to this new incarnation of the Tony Roper Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Funds raised will benefit the Foundation for Fair Grove Public Schools. The Foundation's purpose is to promote and enhance excellence in programs that are synonymous with the Fair Grove School District and to encourage the community to be active participants in the educational process.

The goal amount of this GoFundMe is entirely flexible - any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
