Tony's Going to BSA National Jamboree 2023

Hi! I'm Tony Lucas Vallés from Troop 70 in Astoria, NY, and I have gotten the chance to go to the 2023 Scouts BSA National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

I have been in Scouting since second grade, and now, as I finish seventh grade, I will soon reach the Star rank. I have been assigned to Jamboree Troop 3205, and will be one of about 100 scouts representing the Greater New York Councils. I've already gotten to know many talented Scouts from Queens this year!

I will use the funds I raise to help pay for the Jamboree, and I have a plan to pay it forward: for every $100 I raise, I will volunteer one hour of my time in my community this summer. And if I'm lucky to surpass my goal, I will save the extra funds to use for my Eagle Scout Project.

Since this is the biggest scouting gathering in the entire United States, this would be a great learning experience, and I am confident I am ready for this adventure.
