On Monday August 21st Tony Bond was enroute to an animal welfare call for service when he suffered a stroke and was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Tony will be in the hospital for an undetermined amount of time and is preparing for his road to recovery through physical and occupational therapy.
Tony has worked for the City of Norman for 32 years and has worked for Norman Animal Welfare for 26 years. Tony currently serves our community as an Animal Welfare Officer. He has been a beacon of hope, compassion, and dedication in Norman, tirelessly working to protect and care for the animals we hold dear. His unwavering commitment to their well-being has touched the lives of countless animals and humans alike. Our hearts ache knowing that he is unable to continue his vital work during this challenging time.
Tony will be out of work for some time and the medical bills have just begun. If you can help, PLEASE DO! Any amount is appreciated. Tony is always the one who is there when someone (or some animal) needs help and now he needs us!
