Tony and Michael's medical and moving expenses

With great humility, Michael and Tony have established this gofundme page to assist with medical and moving expenses. As many of you know, Michael was diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2022, and has experienced several complications which have necessitated three surgeries and a lengthy period of rehab. Tony has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and the expense for the targeted therapy chemotherapy medication is in excess of $12,000 per month. Thankfully we both have decent insurance which covers most of the cost, but the deductibles and copays have really added up. Michael also has a condition known as Erythrocytosis, which causes the body to produce too many red blood cells, which can cause strokes and various other complications. Right now, he is scheduled for a CT scan and MRI to try and determine the underlying cause of this condition. There is a $750 copay for each of these procedures, as well as a $125 copay for each visit to the hematologist.

In addition to the medical expenses, the lease on the rental house where we have been living for the past two years was up on September 11, and it appears we will be moving very soon. The cost of the move to this house was $3700 and it would appear we are about to incur a similar expense again. This is in addition to the prepaid rent and deposits we will incur.

Notwithstanding the ongoing medical issues, we are both actively looking for full time employment, and have had several recent promising leads. However, some interim support is needed until we can get back on our feet.
