Annie Harris, wife of Tony Bell, mother of Isabelle Harris and step mother of Jasper Bell died peacefully with Tony at her side on February 27, 2017.  Annie had been in the hospital since January 19 until the night she passed away.

During her hospitalization there were numerous times the medical staff said that Annie should be released in a couple of days.  However, multiple setbacks with her health came up and she would be in a regular hospital room one day and in Intensive Care the next.  Annie bounced from one to the other the entire time she was in the hospital, until February 21st-the day she was transferred to hospice care. 

Once Annie was moved to hospice care, she lamented that she would not live to see another birthday.  We said, “who says you have to celebrate your birthday on your birthday!”  Annie celebrated her birthday early with cupcakes, a party hat, balloons, birthday cards and an off-key version of Happy Birthday.  Annie loved her early birthday celebration.  There was much love and laughter.

Tony and Annie would also miss their wedding anniversary on March 26th.  Tony planned a pre-anniversary dinner for Annie by having a favorite carry out meal from Red Lobster brought in to celebrate.  Annie enjoyed shrimp scampi, crab legs and lobster with a lot of yum, yum yums!

Tony missed a lot of work during her hospitalization, which impacts the finances drastically.  Once Annie was in hospice care, Tony spent day and night at Annie’s side and was unable to work.

Because it had been months since Annie worked, and Tony missed a lot of work during her hospitalization, the financial strain is immense.  The bills keep piling up and without life insurance to help; more financial hardships are on the horizon.
