Tony & Mama Nette needs you!

Jon Newsome, Tony to all of friends and family, has been going through some very hard health issues for the last several years. These health issues have taken so much from him- the ability to run the summer camp in Niagara Falls, the ability to sing lead in Nyce & EZ, the ability to be an active grandfather in his young grandchildren’s lives, and the ability to be the strong husband to his wife, Annette.

At this point, Tony has been transferred to Cleveland Clinic and is in need of a heart transplant and possibly a lung transplant. There is no light at the end of the tunnel right now; Tony will likely remain at the Cleveland Clinic until his body is healthy enough for a transplant. He is currently hooked up to at least 11 IVs, a feeding tube, a ventilator, a dialysis machine, and he has a temporary LVAD device implanted, which is a mechanical heart pump. This is unfair for a man so young and with such purpose!

With Tony being in Cleveland, OH, it’s a given that his wife, Annette, remains by his side. The staff at Cleveland Clinic said that she should have at least $15,000 in the bank to survive in Cleveland while they await Tony’s health to take a turn for the better; this definitely added to her stress! To be a strong wife, working full-time, and immediately having to leave to be by your husband’s side, with no promising date in sight, it’s a hard task, but a worthy task!
