Tony Loftman, 49, of Nutley, passed away at Clara Maass Medical Center on Tuesday, September 22, after a long and courageous battle with oral cancer.
In Tony's memory, his Fascino Restaurant Family have created this campaign to assist his beloved wife Judy with any remaining burden of medical bills and/or donation help to the THANC Foundation (Thyroid and Head and Neck Cancer Foundation that was dear to Tony's heart). Tony exemplified selflessness to his coworkers, family, friends, and customers on a daily basis and never asked for anything in return. In his honor, we would like to follow his lead...

Tony was born in Seattle, Washington, and lived in Kansas, New York, and Jersey City before moving to Nutley twenty years ago. He was a man with many interests and talents. During the day, Tony loved working in his art studio. He was a prolific artist who explored and mastered all mediums. At night, he enjoyed interacting with people while working at Fascino Restaurant in Montclair.
Tony was a passionate cook and a lover of food, fashion, and travel. He enjoyed studying art, learning about new artists, and planning and taking trips to art museums and galleries. He got much pleasure from sharing all of his interests with his wife, Judy, and he actively participated in outdoor activities such as running and hiking to make Judy happy. They shared a remarkable connection that served as an inspiration for other couples.
Tony had a huge heart and a great concern for others. He dispensed excellent advice and never failed to help family members, friends, and even perfect strangers when they were in need of assistance. Despite enduring a long and painful illness, Tony was always positive and never complained. He possessed a strong faith in God, which guided the way in which he dealt with his disease and influenced the way in which he treated other people. Tony was the epitome of dignity and grace at all times.
Above all, Tony was an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was greatly loved by his large family, who will sincerely miss his sense of humor, gentle manner, adventurous spirit, and unending support. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Rubino, his mother, Janice Pizzello, his father, Allan Loftman, his sisters Tiffiny and her husband Mark Sandquist, Terra Loftman, and Tana and her husband Walter Boy. His loving in-laws, Joan Rubino, Denise and John Gizzo, John and Cindy Rubino, Joyce and Jim Guziejewski, David and Vicky Rubino, and Janice Rubino-Albrecht and Gregg Albrecht also survive him. Tony was a wonderful role model of courage and humility for his nephews and nieces, Cameron and Olivia Sandquist, Mathew and Anthony Rubino, Dominick, Taso, Stephanie, and Gregory Rubino, Joshua and Peter Guziejewski, Daniel and Christopher Gizzo, and Greta and Max Albrecht. His father-in-law, Dr. Dominick Rubino, who thought of Tony as a son, predeceased him in August 2020.
