Between May 26th and June 11th Thomas had three admissions to Sacred Heart, Studer Family Children's Hospital in Pensacola, spending the majority of his time in the pediatric intensive care unit. The Drs, nurses and supporting staff there cared for Thomas with love and dedication right until the end.

To show our appreciation for their kindness we intend on donating Tonie Boxes (easy-to-use children's' story telling devices) to the department. It is our hope that children being treated in the PICU, along with their families, will be able to enjoy all of their favorite stories in an accessible format. Listening to stories on his Tonie Box was a special part of Thomas's bedtime routine, that we would love to share with others.

It is our goal to supply the PICU with 10 Tonie Boxes, one for each room on the floor, along with plenty of Tonie figures to play. This would allow each patient, regardless of physical ability or medical status, to escape into a world of imagination with their favorite characters.

Any additional funds will be donated to The City of Niceville in order to pay for memorial plaques at Turkey Creek nature trails' 'Path of Memories'. A dedicated memorial section of boardwalk trail for parents who have lost a child.

Turkey Creek has long been a sentimental place for our family, filled with happy memories. It is where we were engaged, before Thomas was born, but it is also a place we were able to share with him. Thomas enjoyed being outside, hearing the sounds of nature, laughing whilst going over the bumpy boardwalk in his stroller. Having his name become a permanent part of the trail will offer all of us, especially Benji and Vienna, a place to remember of Thomas fondly.
