Tonia’s Journey

I would like to introduce my lifelong friend, Tonia Valentine Carmicheal. She is 50 years old. Tonia has a rare and very aggressive female type cancer. She started fighting this battle back in 2014. After having a hysterectomy the problem seemed to be solved, but 8 years later in 2022 the monster has returned with a vengeance!! Since being rediagnosed, Tonia has been fighting with everything she has, however, her body is unable to tolerate all types of chemotherapy that have been tried, and the cancer has now spread to her lungs. She has recently found out she has lost her job of 10 years from the local hospital where she was an X-ray technician, which means she no longer has insurance. Tonia fights not only because she has so much life to live and has a family that loves her dearly, but mainly because she has a 17 year old beautiful and smart daughter, Kiersten, who will graduate from high school in 2023.

Tonia knows that she is covered by the blood of her Lord and Savior! Her family and I know that God works miracles everyday, and we pray daily for complete healing for Tonia!
