Many of you intimately know my sister Tonia’s story, many of you know bits and pieces, but most of you at least know that she’s been battling Breast Cancer for a long time.
What I’ve found through her journey is that people are so very generous and willing to help when help is needed. We are so thankful for those of you who have helped financially in the past. But, typically once the initial help and support wears off, it’s so easy for us to go on about our day and forget the day to day battle that she continues to face. And to be honest, she still needs a lot of help.
Her Breast Cancer has spread to several different organs, and she bravely goes on day after day, through chemo treatments, radiation treatments, lung drainings, shortness of breath, sickness, fatigue - as if it’s normal, you guys. It IS her normal. And she handles it all with so much grace and leans on Jesus so faithfully, it’s inspiring. Because for most of us, let’s be real, her daily life would be unbearable.
So friends, I come to you asking for your help once again. Tonia is literally fighting for her life and I feel helpless... this is the one thing I know how to do.
Please band together with me to show my sister the love of Jesus through the generosity of others - help me alleviate some of her stress, provide for her needs, and take care of some of the financial burden. The burden is heavy, you guys, and she’s bearing it all on her own. But with many of us doing just a little, we can really lighten the load.
Thank you for reading this and loving on my sister! We are so grateful for your help, your friendship, your kindness, and your generosity.
With love,
Rebecca Boersen & Family
