Hello Everyone,

I was reluctant on doing this but I want to tell you my story that all begin on 7/2/2022 with a slip in fall in my kitchen. I literally did the splits left leg straight out to my side and right leg buckled underneath me.

I ended up with a torn hamstring with only 2centimeters left attached to the bone. Spent 15days in hospital/rehabilitation facility. To come home to an area downstairs that was created for me to stay in since I couldn’t climb stairs to my room . Big adjustment for whole family.

Obviously couldn’t go back to work.

I was only home just over a week when upon going to bed , I had another fall resulting in a broken Fibula, Tibia and torn PCL. Spent another 22 days Hospital/Rehabilitation. Was confined to wheelchair for 1 month and used Walker for 3 weeks and doing Physical Therapy during this time.

Saw my Dr on Oct. 20 and he gave me go ahead to slowly return to work…I was on cloud 9 and knew this was not going to be easy. But as I prepare for to start over again ….on Sunday Oct. 23 at 10am I had a freak accident that has ended with some horrific injuries and all my injuries have been to the left leg, well this injury ended me up in emergency surgery to save my leg since they were unable to find a pulse. I severed the blood flow lines and tore/ mangled every ligament I had in my left knee. Oh the agony I’ve been in since that day. First surgery (Vascular)started at 8:15pm and

lasted approximately 5 hrs then it was turned over to Orthopedic specialist where an External Bone Fixatore was placed in my whole leg to support the knee. That took approximately 3.5 hrs.

During surgery I became very critical losing lots of blood and them trying to keep my pressure up . Between surgery n now I have received 10 units of blood spent 3 days ICU and have been in Step Down unit since with care around the clock. Now they have moved me to another part of the floor. They are in the process of getting ready to send me by ambulance 3hrs away to Charlottesville University Hospital to see if their specialist will take my case on because of the severity and complexity of my injury to my knee. I had 2 open facias on my lower left leg which eventually ended up with wound vacs til they could sew them up that was my 3rd surgery. The reason for this was so they could give the new blood vessel time to thrive and get swelling under control. They got the vessel from my right thigh so that ended up with staples from top of thigh down to above my knee.

Also had to cut left side to insert vessel.

This has been so traumatic for me and those closest to me. I have literally drained all my financial resources and asking for help is not an easy thing for me.
