Hello everyone,

I've always been a private person when it comes to family & I also have always loathed asking anyone for help with anything financially. So while it's very hard for me to create this, I understand that my parents need all the help they can get right now.

A little over a month ago, my Mother was completely fine (or so we thought). She began having severe leg pain which was believed to be a sciatic nerve issue. She had several physical therapy sessions to try relieving the pain. Then her leg became swollen twice the normal size & her therapist sent her to the ER immediately. They discovered that she had a blood clot in her leg so they sent her to see a specialist in Wexford. There they found that the clots traveled to her lungs & brain which caused a series of mini strokes. After nearly a week at Wexford, she was transferred to Forbes in Monroeville to begin a therapy program. Over the course of nearly 2 weeks, she seemed to very slowly improve & was actually fairly sharp mentally but was struggling physically. Finally she got approved to be discharged to go home. A few days later she went in for a biopsy of small masses that were found on her lung, pelvis & spine & then came back home the same day. Two days later, after what seemed like a good morning for her, she became unresponsive & had to be saved by paramedics & rushed to the ER. She's been back in the hospital since. And it breaks my heart to include that over the weekend, we found out that she has stage 4 lung cancer as well as other areas of cancer throughout her body.

While in 3 different hospitals over the majority of a month, my Father drove to be with her wherever she was, every single day, for at least several hours per day. Needless to say, medical bills & living expenses are piling up very fast.
