Hello, I'm Julie, and I'm deeply honored to help create this GoFundMe page dedicated to the memory of Toni Carbone and to support her sister, Kim Gerber.

For those fortunate enough to truly know Toni, her presence was a true blessing. Toni was a person who guarded her heart but, once you were in, she went out of her way to express her love and make you feel like family. I've witnessed Toni's heartfelt gestures, such as the annual handwritten Christmas cards and the stories from those who cherished her throughout her life.

Toni's heart belonged to dirt track racing from a young age. Her earliest memories were filled with the smell of fuel burning, and being grounded from the track was the worst punishment she could imagine. She'd sneak out with a wink from her dad and deal with the wrath of her beloved mother Judy when she got back just to see her race family. One of her favorite childhood memories growing up in the country was saving her mom's empty Aqua Net cans and tossing them into burn barrels behind the house. Yes, it sounds crazy and dangerous, and yes I entrusted her with the safety of my kids haha but those were different times, and these memories were etched in her heart.

Toni was the kind of person who never missed a birthday and gave gifts so personal that it showed she knew you like no one else. Her love extended to her family, her racing family, her work families, and even my own family.

Now, as we discuss the financial need, it's essential to introduce Kim Gerber, Toni's youngest sister, who has been a pillar of strength and support for numerous family members. Speaking of generosity, Kim is one of a kind. She provided a home of their own for her mom, Judy, and her sister Toni. When circumstances changed and the home was no longer a place where they could live, Kim welcomed them into her own home, alongside her sons and husband. She ensured that her mom and sister always had a place to go and were loved and cared for.

Unfortunately, tragedy has been a close companion in recent years. Judy Carbone passed away in January 2021, leaving a heavy emotional toll on the family. Moreover, the costs associated with hospital bills and funeral expenses created a significant financial burden. Less than three years later, with the loss of Toni, Kim finds herself once again giving everything she has emotionally and facing mounting expenses, including hospital stays, time off work to be by Toni's side, funeral costs, and the accumulated expenses from a life well-lived.

Kim is not one to ask for help, but she has repeatedly demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her family. We are organizing this GoFundMe to honor our beloved Toni by supporting her sister, who has been a source of strength for many. Every donation, regardless of its size, will make a meaningful difference for these remarkable individuals. Toni's family extended far beyond the traditional boundaries, and I believe that her legacy will continue to touch the lives of many.
