Tong's Memorial Fund

Dear Friends, Families, Eureka and Sacramento communities,

On Sunday, 1/29/2023, Michelle's husband, Tong Thao was fatally shot and killed as he attended a traditional Hmong funeral. He was going to turn 26 today, 1/30/23.

There are so many unanswered questions. As you all know, death is inevitable and a day will come when we will no longer be here. However, how do we plan for a death that was taken from us? Tong left behind his wife and family. Tong and Michelle had plans to purchase their first home together. They even went house viewing the morning of his murder. This is all unexpected and Michelle is in disbelief and shock. She is broken and alone but she must continue to plan for his burial.

We want to give Tong Thao the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Tong's funeral expenses and to get Michelle back on her feet as she takes time off work to put her husband to rest.
