Tonga Tsunami Relief Fundraiser by Lei’D Tapa

Donation protected
My name is Seini known as Lei D Tapa. Many of you may know me from wrestling and a pro boxer. I started a non profit called Women of the Carolina’s Fight Life.

I am passionate about what I do and passionate about people.  I am also a proud Tongan and carry the Tongan flag to represent my nationality with Love and pride!

On January 15, 2022 a significant eruption occurred from the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai underwater volcano.  It literally rained ashes and volcano rocks throughout the islands of Tonga.  This eruption caused a tsunami that has devastated and caused so much damage to Tonga.

My mother, Ofa Ngauamo Tonga, went to Ha’apai where she is from to visit my brother.  Upon her return, covid happened and prevented her from returning back to the United States.  She was due to fly back with my brother soon.  This natural disaster will cause a delay for us to see them again.

My father, Saimone Lolohea Tonga, is from Vava’u and left the islands to America. He joined the United States Army and was proud to serve this country as a Tongan for 39 years.  He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5, being the first Tongan to serve America that long.

By your donation I am grateful to use all the donations to help the people in Tonga whose homes have been damaged, the land affected by covered volcanic ashes in which they farm on, water affected.  They are in great need of rebuilding, of water, food, and any donations that can provide for their needs.

Due to lack of communication at this time, we want to be ready to serve the Tonga people immediately and as best as we can.  Tonga is a small island located on the International Dateline in the Pacific Ocean. It welcomes a brand new day. The people have such big faith and humility.  Tonga is also known as the Friendly Islands and will greet you with wide open arms.

Your donations will help in such an impactful way to provide for the basic necessities.

I have faced adversity as a person, as a fighter, and have been able to endure.  The people of Tonga mean so much to me.  They will also endure such adversity.  The heart of the people are great and will pull together to build the Kingdom of Tonga back up especially with your generous donations.  I thank you so much for reaching out to me to check on my family in Tonga, for being willing to help—whether it is through prayers, from the smallest to the greatest donations.  We are so grateful for you all. They will be blessed. Malo and thank you!
