Tonga Tsunami: Need for Basic Food & Medicine

Hi Everyone, My name is Sanjina and i am fund-raising on behalf of my sister, Mary Fonua, her family, her friends and her neighbours who have not had one decent meal since Tsunami on 15 Jan 2022 destroyed their ability to live a normal life.

No Aid has reached them as yet.

Cost of basic food and water has sky rocketed to unbelievable prices making it affordable.

Kids do not have basic medicines for fever or sore throat and now there lies a dooming threat of related diseases due to stagnant tsunami water.

A lot of them are are in financial difficulties. Government support does not exist.

Covid, which until now was non-existent in Tonga, has arrived, which no doubt will bring along another set of issues, pain and hardship.

In short, situation is so bad that its hard to describe in words.

I am reaching out to everyone to assist in every possible manner, no matter how small the contribution is.

Everything counts and every $ you contribute will go a long way to bringing somewhat normalcy in an extremely disrupted life Mary Fonua and her community.
