Tona's Teeth

Tona is the world's quietest rescue border collie, who lives with me in Nottingham. Unfortunately her abusive past means that she has had to overcome numerous issues, including starving herself, sometimes for days. She's doing much better in herself, with help from therapists and patience, but her latest obstacle is that her back teeth are absolutely ruined from 7 years of anxiety and stress reflux.

While I do have pet insurance, it expressly doesn't cover dental work or extraction, and I've been quoted a minimum of £460 for cleaning and removal under general anesthetic, potentially more depending on how many teeth Tona actually needs removing.

She's hidden her discomfort entirely, and I only realised what was happening recently, given the fairly hands-off relationship that's required with her. Hopefully the dental work will mean she's in far less pain and we can keep on track of things from here.
