Hello, my name is Tom! I am currently in my 1st year of university at York. I'm currently raising funds to travel to the South of Buton Island in Indonesia on a conservation research programme with Opwall under their nonprofit initiative - Operation Wallacea. Throughout the programme, I alongside the team will be collecting data necessary for action against climate change and protecting native and endemic species both terrestrial and aquatic. Animals are the most incredible thing on the planet from my point of view and making sure they're protected is something I've always wanted to support since I was tiny! I hope that, through my and everyone else's contribution, people of my age can live to see the world flourishing with magnificent, previously endangered species.

The funds raised will contribute to all aspects of travel costs (flights, accomoodation, catering etc...) whilst also covering necessary training costs.
