Thomas Avis of Solon Springs was severely injured in a motorcycle accident. He is in critical condition at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center. Tom is the Chief of the Bennett fire department. He is retired from the air guard 148th after 20 plus years of service and is currently the Secretary for Douglas county fish and game league and also a hunter safety instructor.
