Tom's England Ice Hockey dream
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tom, I'm a 14 year old ice hockey player from Nottingham and I am fundraising to help fund my trip to Finland to represent the England Ice Hockey Team.
Hockey has been my passion since I was very little. At just 4 years old I started playing the sport and have loved it ever since. I have moved through the age groups in the Nottingham junior system and now train for 5 hours a week with not only my age group, but the 2 age groups above as well.
After 3 trials with the England programme, I was selected to represent my country in Turku, Finland. Me and the rest of the squad will travel on the 10th of April to take part in the Turku tournament.
Ice hockey is still a minority sport in this country and receives little to no funding. As players, our parents are expected to fund the full cost of this trip, including travel, accommodation, tournament fees, kit and off ice wear.
Ice hockey is already a very expensive sport and my parents spend countless hours getting me up and down the country for games, training and trials, all with cost implications attached to them. I have set this page up in order to help with the expense of living my dream and representing my country in the sport I love.
Any donation to my cause would be greatly appreciated.
