Tommy's Lifeline: Donate for a Transplant

Hi everybody,

If you know me, I'm the last person on the face of the Earth to ask for help with pretty much anything, but this is not for me; it's for a good cause. The people this is for are in a really bad situation. Tom and Coree Frank, my wife's sister and her husband, Tommy, are at a point in their lives that it is critical, actually life or death for Tommy, that he gets a kidney transplant. He is the best kind of person, always willing to lend a hand, loves kids and dogs, and is really sick. I hate to see him hurting as he has come to be a very special part of my life. His wife has other health problems and is unable to work more than she does now, and Tommy has worked for the same company for 26 years, always picking up overtime and is dedicated to his coworkers to a fault. Since he has been sick and on dialysis, he still rarely misses any time at work, but his health is failing him more and more. They have a plan in place to get a transplant, and they are on "the list." They are trying everything they can to stay afloat and whole, but they just can't do it any longer. The surgery to save his life, he is still fairly young at 59, is going to be expensive, and with their savings and insurance, they will still be short and may miss the opportunity when it comes up. I love this guy like a brother. He is a very good dude who has worked hard his whole life, believes in God, pays it forward all the time, and treats his wife like his queen. He is finally at a point in his life where he needs a little help that he would never ask for himself. He needs someone to step up and help others help him. That person is me. I have many friends, acquaintances, coworkers, students, and family members that I feel could help him out if they knew about him. So that is what I would like to ask for from you, the reader of this GoFundMe. If you can help, send a donation; if you can't donate, pass it on to someone you think may be able to help. If they can't help directly, ask them to pass it on to someone else. They say it only takes a small amount from each person; one or two dollars, or whatever you can do, would be greatly appreciated. If you know Tommy, you know he would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it. It's time for a little good luck to catch up with this dude and help him in his time of need. I will start it off with a small donation and will do what I can. We will be house-sitting, taking care of his pets, even adopting his little finch birds that he can no longer have around him due to a compromised immune system. All I ask is do whatever you can to help him, or pass the info on to someone else who may be able to help.
