Tommy Chisman Funeral Fund

Donation protected

Hello friends,

Thank you for taking the time to look at this page and consider donating to offset the immense cost of my father's funeral.

My dad passed away on October 17, 2015. Because he did not have any kind of life insurance, the financial burden of his funeral falls on my brother and I.

We are both very young, we both don't have any money, and we are reaching out to the members of our community for help. It is so important to us to commemorate our father with a proper service, so that all that loved him can say goodbye.

Your donation will go directly to the fund for his funeral, and will be used immediately.

For those of you who have never met my dad or possibly have never even met me, let me tell you our story. First off, my name is Rachel Chisman. I am 22 years old. I have one sibling, an older brother, named Adam Chisman. He is 25 years old. Adam and I both get our love of music from my father, who was a rock 'n roller as well as a disco king back in his prime.

When my mother got pregnant, my dad left his disco ball and rock band drumming behind, and became the most amazing father that anyone could ask for. He was truly a spectacular, quirky, fun-loving guy, and the most generous person I have ever met in my life.

The year I was born (1993), my father got into a really bad car accident that left him bed ridden for many months. From this accident, he sustained severe nerve damage that is known as neuropathy. My father also suffered from a mood disorder called bi-polar disorder.

Coupled with his nerve pain, he was affected every day by both crippling physical and mental illness. These things led him to sort out the immense pain he felt through drugs that were prescribed to him by doctors. These drugs led to his downfall.

I love my father immensely, and am so sad that this is where his story ends.

On behalf of my brother as well as myself, I would like to say THANK YOU so much. We are so appreciative of all of your love and support.
