My son, Tommy, was traveling for work, as he usually does, when he fell a bit ill. Now what seemed like a touch of food poisoning, turned out to be much more than your average digestive distress. When this illness first took hold Tommy was looking forward to a business trip to California, this would have been his first time in the state. However, as the days before this excursion was meant to take place dragged on it was evident that Tommy was in no shape to travel. He had never needed a doctor since he moved to Colorado so I was more than concerned when I heard that he scheduled an appointment and that he had cancel this much anticipated trip to California. This slight stomach pains grew to unbearable heights and eating was nearly impossible. The doctor immediately sent him to the ER. The next 4 days was a blur of medical tests. With Tommy’s health deteriorating fast, he finally became unable to respond to the doctors. They belive he has Necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating bacteria that can cause devastating tissue damage and even death. By the grace of God, Tommy has become stable again after many surgeries. Nevertheless, Tommy is not out of the woods yet. He still is in need of multiple surgeries and funds are quickly depleting. We are doing our best, but these medical bills are pilling up and we are also trying to maintain rent on his apartment. Therefore, we ask you to please help our son. We expect Tommy to be off work for several months. We don't know when Tommy will leave the hospital when he does he will have months of rehabilitation. Tommy is more than a friend, more than a co-worker, more than my son. He is truly epitomizes love and passion in everything that he does and everyone he interacts with. Touching so many people never asking for a thank you in return. Thank a man who never expected it and help us. Please give if you can or share this with others who might. Tommy, his loving friends, and I would be eternally grateful. Thank you and God bless
