Tommy Salami's Emergency Surgery Fund

Hello! My name is Kristen, and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my lovely colleague, Heather Groomes, and her kind-hearted husband, Adam Bailey.

Tommy Salami is in serious need of your help. After becoming sick very suddenly, it was discovered that he has what's known as a congenital liver shunt -- a flaw in his body that causes his blood to bypass the liver. The blood pumping through his little body hasn't been getting cleaned by the liver, so it's full of toxins and making him very, very ill. The bad news is that genetic flaws like this can lead to death. The good news is that Tommy's condition may have been caught in time to save his life through surgery.

Unfortunately, surgery is a very costly endeavor, and that's why Tommy needs us all to step up! Though his pet parents are determined to get him the care he needs, anything we can do as their friends and family will go a long way toward easing the expense. Tommy Salami, the younger brother to the legendary Pepperoni Tony, is the baby of the family. He was recently adopted after the passing of the family corgi, Tuddy, so this battle to save his life has been especially heartbreaking for Heather and Adam.
