In the early hours of January 2nd, tragedy struck the Roffey family with the sudden passing of their patriarch, Thomas Roffey Sr. Despite a resilient spirit, he succumbed to cardiac arrest a few days following a lengthy heart procedure at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Having spent ten days there receiving treatment during Christmas, Thomas was discharged on December 30th, celebrating a belated holiday with his family. The suddenness of his cardiac arrest took everyone by surprise, shattering the sense of relief they had felt after the surgery.
