Hello I am Kelly, Tommy's sister and best friend. September 26th, I received the worst phone call. Somebody was hit on a motorcycle and airlifted around the corner, and they thought it was my little bro! My heart stopped, and I raced to the scene! I saw my brother's bike under a Suburban, and I fell apart! The man who hit him was there and explained that he didn't see Tommy and went to turn into the parking lot and ran right into him. Upon arriving at the trauma center, I learned of the severity of his injuries! He had a broken femur, a fractured ankle, 10 broken ribs, 2 broken clavicles, a broken shoulder blade; his lungs were punctured, and his head was injured. His body was crushed, but Tommy's guardian angels were by his side! Tommy is one of the strongest people I have ever known, and he is a fighter! He is improving every day but has a long road ahead! Our family has ALWAYS been super close and will get through this together! My mom and I have been and will continue to be by his side daily to love and support him! He is making tremendous progress, and we are thrilled with the care he is getting at John Muir ICU. We appreciate all the prayers and love you have shown for our family! Many people have asked to donate to help his recovery, so I made this page! I plan on taking care of my brother and giving him all he needs to recover fully!
