Tommie Herd

Hello everyone, this gofundme me is created to support the Herd Family in their time of mourning after losing a great man, Mr. Tommie Herd. Tommie was born in Louisiana and moved to California at the age 16years old. He is a honorable Army Veteran and retired from Gardena Transit. He did an amazing job at trying to show up for his family even after his health began to decline in his older age. Even then He still gave love to so many, in so many different ways. As we all will grow old, it is the simple things that create so much joy and pleasure. Phone calls, text messages, visits from the kids, a scratcher and a lime o Rita. One thing that one prays to keep is their independence. For all your senses to work… to be able to maintain your mobility. It’s hard to be restricted. But when you can look at the long life you have lived (that we can only hope to make it too) We can only wish and work hard to live a life to be proud of. One to Celebrate Gracefully… one for so many to remember. Tommie departed this life Fulfilled. Now we sit planning to lay him to rest and we ask for the help of family, friends and anyone in the community who is willing or/and able to give to support. Things have not turned out the way we expected them to and so now we come to you in hopes that your generosity will assist us to take care of everything needed at this time.
