Dear Family and Friends,
Dr. Thomas Hampton, faithful evangelist and pastor, world's biggest prayer warrior on the planet unexpectedly left this world at 8:20 pm on December 30, 2020. Pastor “Tommy” Hampton will be greatly missed. The world lost a guardian angel but God reclaimed one of his greatest warriors
His rich life of service to God lasted over 55 years beginning his ministry in 1966 where he would find himself touching thousands of lives all over the world. His ministry took him to every state in the US and as far as Jamaica and Africa. In 2000 he started a food bank that served thousands of struggling families all over the bay area. He loved people more than himself and wanted to make sure not a soul was hungry or forgotten. Every holiday season he would give turkeys and presents to families in need. During his lifetime he built over 14 churches, donated 6 automobiles to people in need, and furnished dozens of houses to help families that couldn't have these luxuries. Dr Hampton helped the homeless find homes, the jobless find jobs and gave those that felt hopeless a reason to have hope.
The past decade Dr Hampton’s health began to decline, at times, rapidly. Bonnie Hampton, his loving wife of 20 years, left her job to be his primary caretaker as his health declined. All the while, Pastor Tommy remained in faithful service to the Lord.
The family is reaching out for financial help. No one was prepared for his untimely departure and all are devastated beyond imagination. He carried a life insurance policy for 25 years only to have it terminated last year when he turned 75. Due to his preexisting health conditions Dr Hampton was unable to afford the $300/mo increase to extend his policy. Between his medical expenses, covid, and funeral cost there’s a great financial stress and worry that the family will not be able to cover these costs.
If you have ever reached out to Pastor Hampton for comfort, prayer, or for a simple favor, please consider donating to help the family honor this amazing prayer warrior’s memory.
Keep sending love and prayers.
