Tommy and Grayden’s Recovery

On 9-14-2020 my Brother and nephew were on their way home from a baseball tournament in Hoover Alabama where they had played the championship game so was a very late night of travel home . When they turned on HWY 97 they had only got up to the speed of about 35 or 40 and my brother seen another vehicle coming in his lane . He tried to get over on edge of road to miss him but the driver followed and hit him head on  at full speed thank goodness my brother side took the blunt of the hit someone was able to pull Grayden out and he is very banged up and has broken collar bone but has been released . My brother on the other hand had to be cut out hip was shattered and femur broke . He made it through 6 hour surgery but has a very long long road to recovery . He is a single parent to Grayden and these two were just coming home from doing what they love and live for baseball. State trooper told us driver had suspended Drivers license and open container was found he was def under influence and almost took to lives in the process . The final crash report will give all details after blood alcohol and other test were performed at the hospital . Everyone has been so great and wanted to know how they could help so this is my way of trying to help with the long recovery loss of work and so many other medical things my brother is going to need when he is finally able to be sent home . He is a single parent Grayden does not have any other and they soulfully rely on tommy . If anyone wants to help I just wanted to do this so option is available if not we appreciate all the kind words and prayers . I knows everyone wants to help out and be there and hopefully when he comes home that will be possible with COVID there is only one designated visitor in and out the whole time which has definitely complicated things with our family not being to come up .  We are thanking the good lord above they are alive !!
