Tommie's Fight Against Rare Heart Condition

We found out at 7 months pregnant that our Tommie girl had what is called Ebstein anomaly. This is a rare heart condition where the tricuspid valves are developed a lot lower, which enlarged the heart and makes it so that the blood is flowing to the wrong parts of the body. Right now, she is on a paralytic which paralyzed her so that the machines can do the work for her. We didn’t know how severe this would be until we had her. Now that she is here, they have told us that she has one of the more severe cases of Ebstein anomaly. We aren’t sure how long she will be in the hospital; they were talking about open-heart surgery 2 days ago but they are waiting, and now she is stable, so we are waiting to see how her body does.
