Tom Kreager's Blowing Out Cancer!

Tom woke up the day before Thanksgiving November 2018 with horrible pain in his abdomen.  A trip to the Urgent Care found a kidney stone and a spot on his liver. Several scans later we were sitting in the doctor's office Friday at 5 hearing a diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer.  By 6 we were on the road to the Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha for 2 surgical procedures and more scans. 

Tom came back to the Morrison Cancer Center for Chemotherapy with Dr. Copur.  The Buffet Cancer Center doctors hadn't given us much hope but Dr. Copur set out to cure him.  What better medicine than hope!!  Tom went through 6 rounds of chemo, one every other week.  His last was February 25.  On Monday, March 4 he had a followup scan and the results were better than anyone expected.  The tumor on his pancreas is gone and the spot on his liver has halved in size. 

We meet with a liver specialist on Thursday, March 14 to see what the treatment will be next.  We believe with hope, positivity, and the support of family and friends Tom can one day be cancer free!   Thank you for your support!  Love, Shanda and Tom Kreager
