Tom Fasciano’s Road to Recovery

Hello All, I’d like to thank you for stopping by Tom Fasciano’s gofundme page. Before I get into his story I’d like to encourage everyone who sees this page to please share the link to any social media platforms, and help the get word out to as many people as possible however possible. Thursday (2/20) Tom was participating in an indoor Softball game where he was struck in the left eye by a batted ball. He was rushed to ECMC via ambulance where he was treated in the emergency room for multiple serious injuries. After receiving numerous medical examinations Tom was sent into emergency surgery under the care of the excellent doctors and staff of ECMC. During the surgery it was confirmed that Tom has multiple facial fractures to include a fractured jaw, 2 lacerations down to the bone, and a severe gouge that runs from the cornea to the back of his eyeball. The trauma caused by this accident has resulted in loss of vision in his left eye. At this time doctors are unsure if the vision will ever return to his left eye. Tom without a doubt will be missing time at work, while accumulating medical bills that we all know can become overwhelming during times like this. Tom is a family man. He has a wife named Alicia, 2 young daughters, and a young son. This injury will severely impact his ability to provide for his family in a lot of different ways.
