For those who have not yet heard, I regret to inform you that my father lost his courageous battle with cancer May 31, 2016. He passed away in his home as he had requested and with his wife by his side.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in his honor.
Date: Saturday, June 25, 2016
Location: Diamond Family Home – 47046 24th St, Mattawan, MI 49071
Begins: 6pm
Tribute Ride (a processional will bring my Dad’s remains to the celebration): 6:15p-6:30p
Band “Foolish Heart” a tribute/cover band will begin: 7:30p
Lantern Tribute: Lanterns will be released in his honor at dusk
Ends: 11:30p or later
If you have any interest in stopping by, please feel free to do so at what ever time is convenient. This event is open to the public – anyone who wishes to pay their respects may do so. This Celebration is being held in the type of Summer backyard style that my family was known for throwing. So feel free to bring your families as this is not expected to be a solemn event. There is a small playground and activities for the kids. There will be beer, wine and pop plus lots of food. If you have the desire or ability to bring a dish you may do so.
To learn more about my Dad, please feel free to read his Life Story. There is also an online guest book, a place to share memories with the family, and view photos. Click Here to View Dad’s Webpage.
