This fundraiser was originally created to help Austin musician and my dad, Tomas Ramirez, in his recovery from a massive COVID-19 induced stroke.

I recently re-activated it to allow funds to be donated to help cover moving expenses as we move Tomas into a safer and more comfortable senior living center.

Hello, friends! Beloved Austin musician Tomas Ramirez, known to many as The Jazzmanian Devil, suffered a COVID-19 induced stroke in November. He is on the long road to recovery and will need a lot of support and assistance, as well as financial help covering medical and living expenses. Sadly, too many Austin musicians are without medical insurance and depend on live shows to earn their living. Times are tough enough without the added challenge of a pandemic and the forced closure of so many live music venues.

Many of Tomas' wonderful friends have wondered how to help, and so we (his daughters Carmen, Quintana, and Remy) are creating this fundraiser to give folks a way to show direct support and appreciation and to ensure that Dad's medical bills will be covered, as well as his day-to-day needs.

We are hopeful that Dad will be able to return to his passion of playing his beautiful music for his fans. In the meantime, our deepest gratitude to you all for your love, encouragement, and support! Woof!
