Tomah family loses everything in house fire
Donation protected
**FAMILY UPDATE**
Kelsey, Tom and their family are overwhelmed with the outpouring of immediate help and donations from the surrounding Tomah community and beyond. At this time, they will need to sort through what items have been donated and determine where to go from here. They have received more than we could have imagined in such a short amount of time which makes us all so proud to call Tomah home and all of you neighbors. At this time, we ask that you hang on to your physical donations or look into the other families affected as they may have a need instead. If you still want to donate to their GoFundMe it is still active. Happy to report everyone is doing well and looking into finding their new home very soon. Thank you all for your help, shares, prayers, good vibes and donations. You have all helped our family see some beauty in what was a very scary situation. We are forever grateful.

On February 23, 2024, a fire erupted in downtown Tomah, Wisconsin, rapidly spreading across an entire city block, consuming everything in its path. Above the burning businesses, Tom Halvorson, Kelsey Hansen, their three children and their pets rushed to get themselves to safety, leaving their entire lives behind in the home they had shared for over a year. The couple and their children lost not only their home, their clothing, the kids’ toys, furniture and so much more, but they also lost irreplaceable sentimental items that had been with them through their entire lives.
The purpose of this page is to raise funds to help the family find a new home and begin to put the pieces back together as soon as possible.
