‘8 days after breaking collarbone I finally saw the shoulder specialist today. He’s confirmed what I already suspected that it needs plating in order to heal properly, to avoid any nerve damage and ensure there’s no further complications down the line. Either have to bite the bullet and find £6k to have it done privately on Friday or join the NHS waiting list of over 30 days. 82 days until TT, 53 days until the start of the season at Cookstown 100...’


After posting the above status on Facebook I received several messages asking to set up this page.  If you can assist in any way to help relieve some of the financial implications required to get me fit and up to speed before the start of the season it would be much appreciated! 

The cost of of the operation to pin and plate my collarbone is £6000. After which I plan to undergo laser treatment, hyperbaric oxygen treatment and physiotherapy to ensure I can get back on a bike and back to full fitness in plenty of time prior to the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT. 

I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime to ride with the Burrows Enginnerring race team in 2019. I’m going to do everything I can to get back to full fitness in time and not let this opportunity slip after 16 years of working towards this moment.
