Tom & Toby's epic marathon adventure in Greenland
After losing a year battling against Hodgkins lymphoma cancer, I, supported by my brother Toby, wanted to give something back to the community which helped cure and support me through my illness. My cancer journey was a tough road which took me from being an extremely fit and able person to not even being able to walk up stairs without losing my breath. We, and some family friends, came up with the brilliant idea to tackle one of the hardest marathons in the world - The Polar Circle marathon to raise money for cancer research. This will involve running a full marathon in Greenland at the end of October. Although this idea came about after a few beers, we are dedicated in completing this challenge to the fullest. Our wish is that the money raised will go towards improving the lives of other people who are suffering similarly to myself, or who have experienced cancer in some way. We truly appreciate any donation and can assure you, your help will benefit many lives. This will be the first of many more challenges that are to come.
See you on the other side !
