On April 6, 2018, husband, father, and friend, Thomas Ellsworth Stillo passed unexpectedly while on vacation in Honduras, Central America. Tom and his wife, Jenny, were in San Pedro Sula to visit family and play tennis. On the day they arrived, Tom went down to play some evening tennis on the hotel courts. However, after 45 minutes, uncharacteristically, Tom said we was feeling tired and called it a day. He went to his room to take a shower and lie down for a short rest. His last request was for Jenny to grab him some soup for dinner, that was the last time they would ever talk. When she came back up to bring Tom down to dinner, she found him in bed and unresponsive.

Tom was an outstanding man who brought a smile to everyone who knew him. He lived a life of sport and adventure, competing at the highest levels in volleyball and traveling all around the world. He was a pilot and scuba diver. His work in construction and photography are physical and artistic testimates to the legacy he leaves behind.

Tom leaves behind his wife and two adult children, Andrew and Asya. We want to ease the financial burden that comes with losing someone so suddenly. This memorial fund will help to take care of outstanding family debt and ensure that Jenny can maintain ownership of the family property and continue to reside in Crested Butte. Asya will also be moving back to C.B. to support her mother during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated. Although broken, we thank you with all of our hearts.
