March 15, 2021, marked the first year anniversary of our father’s death.  He spent a lifetime devoting his energy to faith, family, music, service, love and education.  He had a gentle way about him that encouraged conversation and provided a platform for respectful opinion sharing.  It was always such an amazing gift to be in his presence.  His passion for humanity was evident with all that was important to him.  The last several years he poured his heart and soul into the Christian Adult Education program at his church, teaching  contemporary issues and the Bible.  He spent countless hours in research, producing literature that encouraged insightful discussions and intellectual curiosity.  As my brothers and I deliberated on ways to honor him, it became evident that we needed to find a way to “keep the conversation going”. 

  To celebrate dad's life, we are establishing the Thomas Edward Rugh Memorial Fund with an initial family gift of $2,500.  With your help, it is our intent to build this endowment account to give us the ability to create an ongoing lecture series at his church.  This will facilitate topics of relevance, bringing the congregation and community together and having an ongoing impact.  This is an opportunity for friends and family to have a direct influence on continuing his legacy and providing emotional ownership to all who may be affected by the guest speakers.  

  After his death we adopted “Soli Deo Gloria” (Glory to God Alone) as the framework for his life.  That phrase inspired dad’s passion for music and efforts towards Christian education throughout his life.  It was by Gods everlasting grace that dad served Him and to His glory that dad lived.  All donations are deeply appreciated.
