Tom Roth (The Tree Man)

I am reaching out to friends and family to help support the family of Tom Roth (THE TREE MAN) who passed away in a tragic accident, Tuesday, January 16th. Tom died doing what he loved, which was helping people keep their properties safe and climbing trees! He was a real monkey man and to see him in action was always amazing.

He was a tree surgeon (arborist) in Nevada County for 35 years+. Tom mostly did jobs for the elderly at lower than standard rates to help the community he was born and raised in, Grass Valley.

He was still climbing at 60 years old to help others and make ends meet for his family. When asked by his son, Joe, recently when he was going to stop he said "not until the day I die." None of us realized how true that would be.

He was the pillar of our family and provider for his disabled wife who now has no income and no means to give him the memorial he deserves.

He worked for himself and employed family, making just enough to get by which is why he never retired from such a dangerous job.

Please keep the Roth family in your thoughts and prayers and contribute, if you can. The funds will be for cremation and memorial services. We're hoping to be able to have the service at the Love building in Condon Park where Tom grew up and lived next to the majority of his life.

Tom is survived by more family than I can begin to list but my love goes out to his wife and children as well as his siblings. Please keep them all in your hearts during this hard time.
