After what we thought was a win with laryngeal cancer in August, February 3rd, my dad had to go in for an emergency tracheostomy to manage his upper airway due to his vocal cords beings frozen and cancer/necrotic tissue covering his larynx.

At this point my dad has been in the ICU and recovering so well. He is unable to talk or swallow food, and is adjusting to the very quick life change. We are still working closely with the doctors for future procedures and will update everyone here with important news.

With all of this suddenly happening, I've taken on my dads personal and financial responsibilities, on top of being a single mother. I'm confident these times will not wear me down, but as my dad's life is changing, so is mine to take care of him.

My dad has friends near and far who know him as the man who would go out of his way to help anyone, the ICU has received dozens of calls to send him their thoughts, and I too have managed dozens since Friday.

Many of you have asked if there's anything that can be done to help, besides prayers and thoughts, and it is to help lift a small financial weight off my shoulders to maintain our home and living situation while we take the next steps into recovery.

Anything helps to maintain the very loving and happy home we have. ❤
