It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tom Petrovich. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, friend, and everyone’s favorite storyteller who could take the most ordinary event and transform it into a tale of epic proportions. After a brief hospitalization for Covid, Tom succumbed to the disease on March 9, 2021. Because of health precautions, his family was not permitted to visit him in person, however, God miraculously opened the way for Anne and Megan (his wife and daughter) to be at his side during his final moments.

For approximately twenty-four years, Tom was the owner of TJ Auto in Sacramento. His honesty, good humor, and compassion for others created a loyal clientele. Not only was his shop visited regularly by a steady stream of family and friends, but his kind heart also welcomed a motley assortment of stray animals.

Tom’s zest for life stemmed from time spent with those he loved, creating hair-raising dirt bike adventures, home cooked meals, and memorable bonfires. But, for as much as he gave to others, the center of his heart was undeniably reserved for his wife, four children, and rotating collection of furry companions. At the end of the day, no matter how bad it had been, as long as they were okay, so was he.

It is for this reason that we, Tom’s extended family and friends, have created this GoFundMe page, to quell the wave of unexpected expenses and provide some calm in the midst of this unanticipated tempest.
