Hi everyone this is Jaime. I am starting this Go Fund Me page for the most amazing man I know, my dad, Tom O’Donnell. He is the best husband, father of five, grandfather of eight, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He has always been a hard worker and an amazing man in general. For those of you who know him know he would do anything and everything for anyone! He is a blessing to all of us. Now it’s my turn to return the favor for him. My amazingly strong, never sick daddy is dealing with a huge medical issue. He has recently been diagnosed with a leaky heart valve which has caused his heart to become enlarged and will require surgery as soon as possible. Also due to recent changes by Blue Cross Blue Shield to his medical plan (that he already pays $785.00 a month for) his plan is being discontinued at the end of December. So his doctors are hurrying to get his surgery scheduled as soon as possible. While this is all going on, he is not supposed to be stressed out, but like most families these days my folks live paycheck to paycheck. My mom is also having some cardiac issues and because of them had to retire last December. My dad is now the sole bread winner and has been told he will be unable to work for ten whole weeks after his surgery. Thinking about trying to come up with the money to pay all the bills while he recuperates, much less all the out of pocket costs of the surgery, is causing a TON of stress he is not supposed to have. We are doing everything we can to help by gathering everything we can to sell and Brian is working overtime, but we will need some extra help no matter what. My dad would never ask for this but I am.
