Tom Newman Medical Care & Nursing Home Stay

Hello Everyone, we’d like to thank everyone who has donated to this campaign however, we still need your help. Since April 2022, life has been quite challenging, and it’s been hard for my Dad to navigate financially, emotionally and especially physically.

He’s had his guitar damaged not once but more than twice at this point by the staff of the nursing home. In late May of 2022, he was diagnosed with Covid-19, which has extended to long Covid-19 due to his heart failure. In June 2022 was by far the most significant change when he was evacuated from his nursing home facility due to a fire and explosion. He has since been relocated. Unfortunately, cash was stolen from his wallet, and he has tried to recover his personal items. In July 2022, my Dad had to make an emergency stay in the hospital because his systems weren’t letting up, and his condition worsened. Donations are still needed to help him navigate the changes. Funds donated will pay for his nursing home facility fees and medical supply incidentals. For those that know my Dad, he wants to get back to doing what he loves…making music & performing. It’s what he lives for the most.

Hi, My name is Singleton and I'm Tom's daughter. The reason for this fundraiser is to help my father with nursing home care costs. Since 2017, my father's health has taken a steep decline due to heart disease. His ability to walk, stand, and care for himself has been diminished. At the end of 2018, my father was hospitalized then transferred to a nursing rehabilitation center. We're asking for anyone, friends, family, former colleagues, bandmates to help keep my father in a safe, clean and caring environment while he fights heart disease. The funds will be used towards nursing home costs and medical supplies that he desperately needs. My father is trying his best to get better but it has become extremely stressful when he's bombarded with billing from the nursing home facility. Raising funds is urgent as the billing is sent at the beginning of every month.
