Aloha All,
My name is Tom (Thomas} Martinez. I have always been self-sufficient and prefer to be a person that assists others instead of myself requiring assistance, which, unfortunately, I have no choice but to ask at this point humbly.
It's been close to 4 years since I began my Medical and Financial struggle. Went to Emergency due to abdominal pains and found out I had a pancreatic infection. While they were taking x-rays, a cancer growth the size of a soft ball was detected in my right kidney. That was the beginning of my journey. Had my right kidney removed, then, after six weeks of recovery from that surgery, I was taken to North Hawaii Hospital to have my Appendix removed. During that (known as a standard) procedure, My right lung collapsed, and it was detected that I also had congestive heart failure. Due to all of the issues during the process, the Anastiologist had difficulty bringing me back. Flew back to Oahu for another procedure for my throat (Berits Disease) as well as correction in my stomach of a hernia protruding up into my stomach. The Anastiologist called it off the first time due to my pulse and blood pressure being too high. So, more expense and another trip the following month to try it again. My various doctors required more procedures- Cancer Dr., Heart Specialist, Kidney Dr, General Practionist, Gastro Dr, and Psychiatrist. Numerous x-rays, blood work, mris and cat scans- constantly.
In October, I am scheduled to return to Oahu for more procedures.
I have not been able to work genuinely. Just a couple of days here and there when I am feeling up to par. So all of my bills are just piling up with no end.
I humbly ask for your support.
Mahalo,
Tom
