Tom Kennedy continues to Fight

Tom Kennedy (TK) continues to fight!
Our "PAL" TK needs our help.
For 2 years and 8 months , Tom has been hard at work battling the cancer that is threatening his life. In 2016 Tom was diagnosed with stage 2B Breast cancer. After 3 months of chemo , radiation and a double mastectomy his diagnosis changed to stage 4 terminal due to metastasis in the brain and bones. At that time he was told he had 6 months to live. Tom has fought hard all this time while undergoing chemo treatments and continuing to work and support his beautiful family. He is a devoted husband to his wife Christine and and amazing father to his daughters Mia and Molly Catherine. But now Tom's diagnosis has changed.
After complaining of neck pain Tom took a trip to the doctor. The doctor ordered an MRI which revealed that the cancer had now spread to his neck and spine. It caused a fracture in his c5-c6 and is now invading his spinal cord. This can cause issues such as loss of the use of his arms or even full paralysis. When Tom learned of this his only reaction was to fight even harder.
Tom's new treatment plan includes 15 treatments of radiation and chemo. Tom works 5 days a week still and does his radiation treatments during lunch and returns to work afterwards. He cannot return to work after his chemo treatments because he is just too exhausted . So he must use his vacation days because he is out of sick days. He is running out of vacation days.
All of us who have had the privilege of Tom's friendship know how wonderful he is. He is a selfless person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needs it. All this time while he has been enduring this fight he has not stopped helping others. Tom is a member of the Mens Breast Cancer Coalition. He has lent his time and effort to charities such as Real Men Wear Pink , Going beyond the pink , Relay for Life and the Love is Bald Fashion show. He continues to raise awareness for mens breast cancer all while taking care of his family and working full time. Tom is a loyal friend to all and needs us more than ever.
The cost of survival is staggering and the fight pushes his family further and further into debt. Living shouldn't be about cost of survival but about time and love. We are raising money to help with the costs of the many treatments , prescriptions and scans. Tom has enough on his shoulders and debt should not be one of them. We ask that you support this wonderful man and his family by donating whatever you can.
