On Friday, January 7th Tom Huls was involved in a serious ATV accident in rural Akron, IA. As anyone who knows Tom, Brooke and Graham, they are quick to help a friend in need without a question asked. All we ask now is to return the favor.

 

Tom was helping a neighbor wrangle some loose cattle when his ATV struck a large hole and launched him and the unit. Tom was knocked unconscious and sustained serious injuries to his left leg, as well as a fractured ocular bone as well as some brain bleeding from the impact. Tom was flown to Sioux Falls for emergency treatment. The leg injury was severe, but the hope is that it will regain full use with surgeries and physical therapy but at this point, that is not guaranteed. The brain and head injuries are being monitored and believed to be relatively minimal, but they are keeping an eye on those as well.

 

Brooke and the family have been at Tom's side since the incident, but they will need help getting through these hard times as Tom's bodily ability is his livelihood both working cattle and row crop farming.

 

Anything we can do to help will go a long ways as the road will be long and tough, but Lord knows Tom is a fighter.
