Tom Evans Hit by E-Bike – Support Needed
Donation protected
Tom Evans, one of the Byron Shire Rebels Dads, was hit by a speeding e-bike while crossing the road at Casuarina. He was there, like so many of us, to watch one of his young kids, a Rebels junior, play rugby.
The e-bike, ridden by a teenage boy, struck Tom with serious force. His injuries are extensive:
- Fractured cheekbone
- Deep facial lacerations requiring stitches
- Concussion
- Five broken ribs
- Broken teeth
- Injuries to his arm
- Severe trauma to the knee with bone fragments and suspected ligament damage (still being assessed)
Tom is in hospital and will be there for some time. True to his nature, he is in good spirits given the circumstances, but his full recovery path remains uncertain.
Tom is a self-employed builder who relies on his business for weekly income. Without self generated income, some real financial pressure will be placed on him and his wonderful family. This fundraiser is here to give them some security and assist with covering the essentials while Tom recovers.
Tom is the kind of bloke who turns up and contributes selflessly, always with an upbeat energy and positive attitude. He motivates the juniors and donates ample time to assisting with coaching when needed. Now he needs the generosity of his community to turn up for him.
If you can give, please do - every contribution goes directly to Tom and his family.
If you can’t donate, no worries, please share this page and help spread the word.
