Hi, my name is Sarah Walker, and I am working to raise money for Tom Dean's family. Tom passed away 12/28/2021.  Tom unfortunately passed without life insurance or company benefits. This is a massive shock to his family was not prepared for daily life without him. Finding funds for a funeral in time like this is heartbreaking.

 

 

The current estimate from the funeral home is $8,700. We are hoping to raise enough to cover this as well as provide some financial relief to his family.

 

Tom was a self-employed father of 2 (Easton and Riley.) He lived in Kansas City, KS. Anyone who knew Tom would tell you what a proud father he was. He had a long-term partner, Ashley Coleman, of 6 years who is the mother to his children.

 

Tom's parent passed away when he was younger, but he is survived by his sister Darrah Mitchell.

 

 

Tom Dean was a staple in the killifish community, and his presence will be greatly missed. Tom started raising killifish as a child with his father growing up. His entries were always beautiful at the AKA shows. He was known for his fish keeping and generosity. He had over 100 tanks at his passing. His fish were rescued along with his equipment, but there is no salvaging the loss to the hobby.
